Evening Skincare Routine | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hello my beautiful friends! Today I'm going to talk about my skincare routine, the products I use and how I use them.

The most important part for your skin is to remove all of your makeup at night. You should NEVER sleep with your makeup on. NEVER.
Firstly I remove my makeup by using the L'OREAL Paris Ideal Fresh Cleansing Gel for normal/combination skin types. I take a pea sized amount of the product and I gently rub it all over my face, in circular motions. Then I rinse it off with lukewarm water and I pat my face with a clean towel.

After that, I reach for the Garnier Micellaire water, to be sure my face is as clean as
possible. I use a cotton pad to apply it all over my face. I used to think that taking off waterproof mascara was the hardest part of my makeup removing process, but now this not an issue at all.

The last step of my skincare routine is to apply a good moisturizer in order to rejuvenate my face. The last few weeks, I found myself going for The Body Shop Aqua Boost Sorbet with vitamin E, 24hrs moisturising cream. I love this product, not only because of the marvelous smell, but also for the amazing result. It leaves my skin with a very nice and smooth feeling. Except from this it really hydrates the area in depth.

Once or twice a week, I also like to use a face scrub to get rid of the dead cells that accumulate on the surface of my face. In order to achieve that, I choose between the Apivita Face Scrub with apricot or the Bioten Scrub Cream with honey and apricot kernel. Both of them do a really good job on exfoliating, but I prefer the Apivita one, because it consists of 90% natural ingredients, which is beneficial for my skin.

Sometimes, when I have spare time, I also fancy to do a facial mask in order to clarify, moisturize, cleanse or lighten my skin.  The product I love to use is the Avon Planet Spa Luxuriously Refining Peel Off Face Mask with black caviar extract. I usually leave it for 20 minutes, then I peel it off as recommended and lastly I wash my face to get rid of the residue. I prefer this one over other face masks because it's super cheap and it does work really well with my skin.

So these are the products I use mostly in my skincare routine. I hope you found my post helpful and interesting and I'll see you next week with another post. Don't forget to see my last post about 'How to look more awake in the morning'. I'll leave the link down below.

How to look more awake in the morning | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hello my beautiful friends! It's early in the morning and you get wake-up calls for school, work or other daily errands. I guess you're feeling and looking worn-out. Lucky you, today I will suggest you a few easy beauty techniques that can help you pretend you slept 100 hours. By using the right products and following my advice, it's super easy to create a bright and wide awake look very quickly.

The first step is to conceal and brighten your complexion. Everyone's skin reacts differently to lack of sleep, but puffy eyes, dark under eye circles and uneven skin tone are the most common complains of women. If your skin looks dull and splotchy each morning the best thing you could do is to brighten your complexion by gently massaging an illuminating primer into your skinI would recommend you the L'Oreal Paris Magic Lumi Primer which adds a luminous glow in the face and helps you appear healthy in a few seconds.

Puffy eyes are another common morning problem. A swipe of a rollerball eye cream. like the Garnier Skin Renew Eye Roller, can quickly reduce swelling by increasing blood flow to the under eye area.  Also dark under eye circles are a telltale sign of bad sleep. To erase any signs of under eye discoloration, apply a pink-toned conceal in V shape underneath each eye. You can use the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer, which helps to brighten the area and cancel out discoloration. These 3 techniques will literally transform your tired face in a few minutes.

The second step is to focus on your eyes. Red eyes and droopy eyelashes can make you look exhausted and unhealthy, but you can use one or two of these eye makeup techniques every morning to look awake.
To quickly reduce redness around the eyes apply the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in the shade 'Nude',  above your lower lashes. This waterproof nude eyeliner will stay in your waterline all day long and the light shade will make your eyes pop.

After this, use your finger to quickly add a dab of the L'Oreal shimmery champagne eye shadow next to each tear duct. Doing this, will highlight your eyes and further lighten any redness around the inner eye area.  To create an even more wide-eyed look, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and add two coats of black mascara. Wait for 3-5 minutes adter the first coat to avoid the spider effect of the lashes.  Curling your eyelashes will make your eyes appear larger and more alert, and the black mascara will help make your eyes appear whiter and brighter.

So this was my advice for a more awake looking. I hope I helped you and I will see you next week!

February Favourites 2015 | Ariana's Beauty Corner

Hello my beautiful friends! Am I late for February favorites? Today I’m going to talk to you about my beauty and non-beauty favorites for February and I hope you’ll enjoy my post! Let’s begin!

1.Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush (shade: Live Pink)

Just look in the picture how beautiful and bright this pink shade blush is. I'm obsessed with this. I used it literally every single day this last month. At the beggining I wasn't expecting a lot from this product because of the low price (I got it for 5.50€,from feelunique.com), but when I tried it I was super excited. The blush itself isn't shimmery, but its not completely matte either.  The colour stays all day long and it looks lovely in pale skin tones. It is definitely a HG item and I fully recommend it!

2.Mac Lipstick (shade: Pink Plaid)

Of course a lipstick couldn't be missing from my favorite list. This month I was loving a new addition in my make up collection. I'm talking for the mac lipstick in the shade Pink Plaid which is this gorgeous colour in the picture. It's a bright pink mauve shade, perfect for pale skins, that I absolutely adore. It really moisturises my lips, like all of the mac lipsticks and it also has a matte and nice finish. Very long lasting. I get many compliments when I'm wearing this.

3.Rimmel Natural Bronzer (shade: Sun Light)
It's a matte bronzer, which I love, and this is the lightest shade but it's actually not that light, but it's great for pink/cool toned skin types. I have fair skin but it fits me also perfectly. The pigment is rather sheer so it's ideal for those natural make up days and it's matte too. I like the packaging, although it's not so travel-friendly. It is super affordable, I got it from Italy for 10€, but I found it on feelunique.com for 8€.

4.Garnier Micellaire Make Up Remover

3rd bottle. This little miracle removes all of my make up very easily, even waterproof make up. Seriously, waterproof mascara is not an issue at all now. I use a cotton pad, but I let it for a few seconds on my eyelids before I gently start wipping. Another advantage is that although I wear contact lenses it doesn't irritate my eyes while I clean them. I think this is amazing. I got it for 6€ I think, but it definitely worth the money.

5.Avon Nailwear Pro+ (shade: Pastel Pink)

The MOST BEAUTIFUL pastel pink ever. This is my 2nd polish in this colour. I use this all the time seriously. It lasts one to two weeks which I think is awesome. The only disadvantage is that it needs two coats, but this is not an issue, because I'm sure every one of us do this in all her polishes. I got it for 3€ which I think is nothing compared to the quality and the lasting of this product. I strongly recommend it!

6.The Body Shop Body Butter Strawberry

I think that if I had to choose my favorite body butter this would be the one. It smells like fresh strawberries and it really moistures my skin so much, especially after shaving. The texture is  creamy and buttery, which I think makes it suitable in dry, winter conditions. If I touch my skin a day after the application it feels the same soft and smoothy. So far, the scent stays a bit longer than I expected and it doesn't smell yucky or differently after a while. Also it sinks in very well and is non greasy, which is what I like. Until now, I don't have any allergic reaction towards body shop products and if you're the same boat then this might not cause you any problem. Let's give a thumbs up to this product!

7. Lipton Tea Strawberry and Mint

When I'm tired or I can't sleep at nights, I always go for this tea. Even the smell of it, is so relaxing. It has a strong taste of strawberry and a little bit of mint, which I think is the cause of the delicious result. It's in the shape of a little pyramid bag, which I believe it makes a difference and lets the tea free the entire taste. I drink lots of different types of tea, but now this is my favorite.

So I hope you guys liked my post and I will see you very very soon! Don't forget to check out my previous post for 6 unique homade masks.
